ReviewLink

Collaborative tools for remote review, editing, and look development

ReviewLink is a new technology from IRIDAS offering remote review and collaboration tools so that users can work together on digital film content from multiple locations over a standard VPN connection. ReviewLink goes beyond other review tools by offering synchronized playback of uncompressed content so that sequences can be viewed in their native file formats at SD, HD, 2K, and higher resolutions.

Unlike other systems, ReviewLink requires no proprietary networking technology, nor does it rely on a central server. ReviewLink works over the internet via a standard VPN connection.
 

ReviewLink is the only technology offering remote capabilities for interactive review, conform, color grading, and more - all with complete data security.

Interactive Review
ReviewLink provides perfectly frame-accurate synchronized playback. Annotation and drawing tools allow users to share comments live during a session, or save their notes so that other users can review them when they are available.

Remote Editing
With ReviewLink, users can check edits and make changes for online collaborative editing sessions. All of the powerful conform and pan&scan capabilities available in FrameCycler DI and SpeedGrade DI are reflected on connected computers - even with IRIDAS applications which do not offer the same features. All changes can be viewed, commented on, and accepted or rejected from any location.

Remote Look Development
Locally created looks can be applied and viewed in real-time from any location. Even complex grading changes including masks, dissolves, keyframes and more can be viewed with any 2006 version of FrameCycler - including FrameCycler Professional, IRIDAS $249 RAM-based playback application. Colorists using SpeedGrade DI can work interactively with others around the globe without ever leaving their own grading suite.

Complete Security
With ReviewLink no image data is exchanged during a session. ReviewLink works by synchronizing playback of locally stored content so that only commands, comments and metadata are sent back and forth, information which is meaningless without the original frames.

Mix Formats and Resolutions
ReviewLink allows for synchronized review of the same material at different resolutions and formats, including QuickTime, from multiple locations allowing, for example, a user on a high-end workstation with a RAID array to work together with a user on a laptop.

The capabilities of the host and client versions of ReviewLink are identical except that remote sessions can only be initiated by ReviewLink host applications.
