DualStream
Stereo Playback for FrameCycler and SpeedGrade
IRIDAS' DualStream stereoscopic technology is an add-on
module for current versions of IRIDAS real-time playback applications.
Now any FrameCycler or SpeedGrade artist can review stereoscopic content
the way it is supposed to be seen.
How it works
DualStream technology works by streaming two sequences simultaneously.
As soon as one channel is loaded, DualStream automatically loads the
second channel - along with any associated sound tracks. With the
multiple timeline capabilities of SpeedGrade and FrameCycler 2007,
artists can easily manipulate and edit stereoscopic content: all of the
application features function
normally on screen (zoom window, color picker, channel flipping,
resizing, etc.). The IRIDAS applications play virtually all file
formats, including real-time RAW.
And with the DualStream architecture "channel drift" is impossible, even
with collaborative remote review sessions using
ReviewLink.
HD, 2K, and Higher
DualStream stereoscopic technology can play HD, 2K and higher resolution
material and works with most 3D display technologies, including shutter
glasses, red/cyan glasses, dual projectors with polarized channels, or
auto-stereoscopic displays.
Stereoscopy for Everyone
Where previously FrameCycler users needed to purchase a special edition
of FrameCycler in order to view stereoscopic content, the DualStream
module means that any artists or facility using FrameCycler can include
3D material in their regular workflow.
And now, with the DualStream module, SpeedGrade DI and SpeedGrade HD are
available as real-time stereoscopic color grading solutions.
