SpeedGrade Comes to InterBEE
Imagica Presents Digital Production Workflow
with Viper, Cine-tal, and IRIDAS
Chiba, Japan: November 14, 2007 ... Under
the heading "See the Big Picture," Imagica Digix Inc. will
present a digital production demonstration at InterBEE on
November 20 – 22 in the Makuhari Messe. The exhibit will
include acquisition with the Thomson Viper FilmStream
camera, monitoring with the Cinemage network display by
Cine-tal, and pre-grading with SpeedGrade OnSet, the IRIDAS
application for establishing and sharing creative looks.
In the demonstration, Viper frames are grabbed from the
Cinemage display and opened in SpeedGrade OnSet. There the
images are graded, or existing looks are applied and
modified as required. Once a look is established, a
SpeedGrade .Look file is sent via the network back to the
Cinemage for color graded playback or live monitoring. The
result is a full digital workflow for production - and a
true color pipeline to postproduction and film finishing.
"Digital technologies offer filmmakers almost infinite
possibilities and that is a challenge for people who are not
yet familiar with this approach," said Haruka Miyagawa of
Imagica Digix. "The purpose of this demonstration is to show
film professionals how they can get started with digital
tools like Cinemage and SpeedGrade OnSet right now."
SpeedGrade OnSet runs on Windows and Mac OS X. See the full
workflow at the Imagica Digix booth (No. 4406 in Hall 4) on
November 20, 21, and 22 at the International Broadcast
Equipment Exhibit in the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. For
