Los Angeles: January 12, 2005 . IRIDAS, a leader in
playback and non-destructive color grading technologies for
the film and digital content creation industries, will
demonstrate SpeedGrade DI at the Hollywood Post Alliance
Retreat at Rancho Mirage, CA January 26 through 28. For many
in the industry, this will provide an opportunity for a
first look at the new application.

SpeedGrade DI allows cinematographers, colorists
and postproduction professionals to work on original files in
real time at any bit-depth at 2K and higher. The application
stores color, EDL, and compositing information as metadata and
uses pixel shader technology to provide artists with the freedom
to create, compare, and save unlimited versions without
requiring additional storage.
"SpeedGrade worked before anyone else's product could," said
Mark Read, president of Hypercube. "We were already able to use
it for the all-digital LazyTown production in 2003. The new DI
version is an evolution built on the real-world experiences of
people like us applying what IRIDAS has been doing for years now."
"Now you have a color pipeline which is fully integrated with
the whole workflow from on-set acquisition through finishing and
final rendering,"
said Steve Crouch, Director of IRIDAS USA. "We have the whole
package.
That's what sets us apart."
SpeedGrade RT was released in 2004 and used by ESC in
postproduction work on the Matrix sequels and Catwoman. The new
version, SpeedGrade DI, will be released next month. SpeedGrade
DI will be demonstrated at the Hollywood Post Alliance Retreat
at the Rancho Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage, CA. To learn more
