MUNICH, GERMANY: Jan 30, 2003 . . . IRIDAS, a
leading developer of digital playback technology for the film
and broadcast industry, today released FrameCycler Professional.
This latest addition to IRIDAS' family of playback systems
delivers uncompressed frame sequences dramatically faster than
conventional playback solutions. The application offers visual
content creators, animators, and post- production artists a rich
set of sequence analysis tools and total control over playback.
Advanced Playback Technology
FrameCycler Professional owes its remarkable
speed to IRIDAS' proprietary Intelligent Look-Ahead Playback
(ILAP) technology. ILAP ram-buffering preloads upcoming frames
in the background while a sequence is playing, and works
bi-directionally. Playback options include user-specified in/out
points, scrubbing with sound, A/B channels, cropping,
resampling, and adjustable frame rates. Support for all industry
standard color space modes is included.
