"The Company" and "Captain Abu Raed"
Case Studies
This presentation consists of two parts. First Adrian
Widera will present the concept of the D-20 camera
illustrated by the project "The Company" and its
workflow.
After this Claudia Meglin will talk about "Captain Abu
Raed", which won the Audience Award at Sundance Film
Festival. Claudia will explain how the DI finishing, on
set grading, data handling, and mobile DI were done. The
presentation will include video material from both
projects.

The End-to-End Digital Workflow
This year at NAB, IRIDAS will present the "End-to-End
Digital Workflow," demonstrating start-of-the-art RAW
pipeline tools for production, post, and finishing.
Joining us in this exhibit will be camera maker Silicon
Imaging, compression experts CineForm, and Wafian,
makers of digital video recorders. See the latest
developments for the FrameCycler and SpeedGrade
applications, including our DualStream stereoscopic
technology.

New Products
SpeedGrade XR
Designed for as a companion product for RAW
camera workflows, SpeedGrade XR offers a full set of
review, grading and finishing capabilities for RAW
formats and video files at any resolution. Together with
DualStream, our stereo add-on component, SpeedGrade XR
is already production-tested on "Dark Country," a 3D
feature scheduled for theatrical release this summer.
SpeedGrade DI 2008
SpeedGrade DI had a great start in 2008,
contributing to several award-winning projects including
"Captain Abu Raed" (Sundance), "Choisir d’aimer"
(Festival of Angers), and the widely acclaimed U2 3D.

Postproduction"
Patrick Palmer Speaks about Stereo
IRIDAS COO Patrick Palmer was part of a prestigious
panel of speakers at the HPA Technology Retreat in Palm
Springs, California on February 20, 2008. The headline
event this year was a stereo "super session" which
included leaders in all areas of the movie industry from
production to distribution.
Patrick Palmer spoke about IRIDAS' experience with
stereoscopic technologies, how the challenges of stereo
postproduction are being met, and argued that stereo
will soon become a part of the filmmaking mainstream.

IRIDAS Brings RAW Workflow to HD Seminar
in Dallas
Real-Time De-Bayering with FrameCycler and
SpeedGrade
IRIDAS, the industry leader in RAW workflows for digital
cinema, will participate in the annual HD Seminar,
hosted by the Electric, Power & Light Company on
November 30 in Dallas, Texas. The all-day event will
include demonstrations with the Phantom high-speed
camera from Vision Research in which unconverted RAW
footage is played back with FrameCycler Professional and
pre-graded with SpeedGrade OnSet. The result is a
powerful new production solution for digital
acquisition.

Imagica Presents Digital Production Workflow
with Viper, Cine-tal, and IRIDAS
Imagica Digix, IRIDAS' reseller in Japan, will present
SpeedGrade OnSet in a digital production demonstration
at InterBEE. The Imagica exhibit will include
acquisition with the Thomson Viper FilmStream camera,
monitoring with the Cinemage network display by Cine-tal,
and pre-grading with SpeedGrade OnSet, the IRIDAS
application for establishing and sharing creative looks.

SpeedGrade to Star in Munich's Matrix 07
Event September 27th
In-Depth Digital Workflow Presentation and
Camera Shoot-Out
SpeedGrade will be there at both ends of the pipeline in
the first Matrix 07 event presented by DVE and Band Pro
at the Deutsches Museum in Munich on September 27.
Visitors, including an eclectic mix of directors,
producers, cinematographers, VFX supervisors and others,
will have the opportunity to see a variety of tools and
configurations in a digital production pipeline from
acquisition through post, finishing and archiving. The
